Nervous Dental Patients

Are you scared of seeing the dentist? You don’t need to be, find out why…

We offer Dental Sedation For People In Idle and West Yorkshire

We know a lot of you have had some terrible experiences with dentists in the past and its very understandable that you are absolutely petrified of coming to see us, but with modern technology and modern techniques, along with caring people, means that we can turn it around and get you to have a happy, smiling mouth again.

We decided to help anxious patients like you because we get the greatest reward from it. This is because nervous dental patients tend to be those that are in most need, usually because you have delayed coming to the dentist.

Maybe you feel embarrassed about the condition of your mouth and teeth, but there is no need at all to feel this way. We have seen it all before and are more than happy to help you. It’s a really satisfying part of our job, converting a really nervous patient into somebody that’s a regular, happy patient.

“Why We Enjoy Looking After Nervous Patients”

Sedation dentistry In Idle and West Yorkshire

If you’re feeling nervous about your treatment, sedation might help to ease your worries. There’s no need to endure discomfort unnecessarily! We provide IV (intravenous) sedation to help relax you and make your dental treatment a pleasant experience.

With intravenous sedation, even the most nervous patient can undergo any treatment in a perfectly calm state. It’s very safe, although of course we will have a rigorous discussion about your medical history with you prior to administration and if it is not right for you for any reason then we will look into alternative options.

Our IV sedation even has an amnesic effect, so that you might even forget about your dental treatment! There are no nasty side effects, but we do recommend that you bring a friend or partner with you as you will not be able to drive after your appointment. We recommend going home afterwards and falling asleep on the sofa in front of a film.

In summary the 5 main benefits of sedation dentistry are:

  1. Nervous patients can undergo any treatment with ease
  2. Our sedation is safe and legal
  3. You won’t experience any nasty side effects or grogginess
  4. There is an amnesic effect, which means you may even forget the experience altogether!
  5. Our friendly team will listen to your needs and make sure that we’re doing what’s right for you – as always, your experience will be taylored.

Furthermore, for nervous patients who don’t necessarily want sedation, we understand how you feel. We’ve had a great deal of nervous patients pass through our doors and we know that you don’t want to feel rushed or confused.

If necessary you can have more appointments, and take more time here to get acquainted with the surroundings. Our friendly staff will be more than happy to sit and have a chat with you!

We pride ourselves on being friendly, empathetic and approachable and we love helping patients overcome their fears and feel comfortable when they never imagined they could.

“Thank you  for your kindness & patience”

I am severely needle-phobic and have had some pretty horrific past experiences. After some therapy (CBT) I finally wobbled myself to a dentist for the first time in years. I can’t thank Taylored Dental highly enough for their kindness and patience in my treatment.

I also have absolute faith in their clinical skills. My teeth feel and look much healthier and I now have confidence I’ll be able to keep them maintained in future. Oh, and the stained glass windows are lovely too 🙂 I’d recommend this practice to anyone.
