Hi, I’m Carl Taylor, the owner of Taylored Dental Care.

I chose a career in dentistry after a scout camp believe it or not. The military had come down with their death slide. We were practising a parachute drop, but one of the buckles hadn’t been tied up properly and flew up in my face breaking my front tooth.

I trained to be a dentist in Leeds, starting in 1997. After graduating I studied for the diploma in Restorative Dentistry Royal College. In addition I trained to do dental sedation, several orthodontic systems and quite a few managerial courses.

I really like snowboarding, kite surfing and windsurfing. In fact I enjoy anything that involves any sort of water based activity.

Hello, I am Katerina and have recently taken up the clinician’s role in Idle.

I am originally from Greece, where I qualified as a dentist in 2008. I decided to come to the UK in 2009 for the experience of living abroad, and before I knew it I met my long time partner and built a great life here. So I stayed!

Even though my job is practical, I greatly enjoy expanding my academic background.

Therefore, in 2016 I completed a 2 years MSc degree in the University of Manchester in Restorative Aesthetic Dentistry and a few months ago I started my second MSc in Endodontics (commonly known as root canal treatments)

It was my Mum actually who convinced me to choose dentistry and I am so grateful I listened to her. There is no better feeling than helping another person either by relieving their toothache, or by boosting their confidence about their smile. So rewarding!

In my spare time I try to exercise (from Pilates and Yoga to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ). I also like taking long walks in the countryside with my partner and 4 year old son. In the weekends I am usually socializing with my friends and experiment with cooking

Hello, I’m Sarah the Dental Hygienist and Therapist here at Taylored Dental Care. You may see myself for treatments such as gum treatments, fillings, whitening treatments, aesthetic dentistry and pediatric dentistry.

My dental career began 14 years ago as a nurse and I then qualified with a merit as a Therapist in 2012 at the University of Leeds. I thoroughly enjoy my profession and I have proudly won many awards for outstanding achievement throughout my training.

My main passion is to help my patients achieve a smile that they are truly proud of! I strive to always make a positive influence in their journeys, to get the best possible outcome for each individual patient. I also really love aesthetic dentistry and take great pleasure in completing white fillings and whitening treatments for my patients. The most satisfying aspect of my job is seeing someone’s confidence rocket, through the help and treatment they have received from ourselves!

A lot of my spare time is taken up looking after my lovable rogue of a Springer Spaniel Mylo, with whom there is never a dull moment. When I do have time I love to travel and visit beautiful cities, with Italy and Prague being some of my favorites.

Hello, My name is Amy McMahon and I am the Group Practice Manager at Taylored Dental Care. I first joined Taylored Dental Care in 2018 as our receptionist at the Wibsey practice and have thoroughly enjoyed my time getting to know all of the patients there and being a part of their dental journeys! I am now very lucky as I get to travel across all three sites so I can get to know all of our patients at each practice.

After a couple of years on reception I progressed to the position of head receptionist and was then asked to take the role of group practice manager. My favourite part of reception was going on a journey with our patients to see them overcome their fears and achieve a smile they’ve always dreamed of.

I am passionate about my new role and no two days are ever the same! From working alongside our lead nurse Becky, to ensure we stay compliant with all governing bodies, to the general running of the day to day business. I am very lucky to lead such a fantastic team who all get great satisfaction from helping our patients and making a difference to their lives, bringing back their confidence and giving them a smile they love!

Patient care and customer service is my passion.I want all of our patients to feel comfortable from the second they walk in the door or pick up the phone to call us, we genuinely do care about all of our patients! Outside of work my time is mostly spent with family and friends. I enjoy going out for food and drinks and visiting new places. I love the sun, so I’m at my happiest when i’m somewhere hot, preferably with a cocktail in my hand!

My name is Tia and I have worked for Taylored Dental Care for the last 7 years. Previously a Receptionist, I have more recently been assisting with the accounts for the business.

I live with my husband and we have two children. I love going on family days out and spending time with with my friends and family.

My name is Kim and I have recently joined Taylored Dental Care. I’ve been a dental nurse for over 11 years now.

I really enjoy my job and my favourite part is seeing people leave with a smile, whether that be because we have helped them out of pain or we have helped improve their confidence to smile again.

Outside of work I spend my time creating memories with my partner and our dog Jaxson, socialising with our friends and families and we also love to travel, discovering new places, abroad & in the UK

Hi, my name is Katie. I have recently joined Taylored Dental care in Idle. I am a dental receptionist with 8 years of experience. I enjoy meeting new people and helping patients as much as I can and giving them the best care.

I am dedicated to helping patients with every step of their dental visit and making patients feel as comfortable as possible throughout their journey with us at Taylored Dental Care.

When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, I enjoy visiting new places and going for runs. I always like to challenge myself.

Hello my name is Jasmine and I am the Patient Care Co-ordinator here at Taylored Dental Care. I am originally from Leicestershire. I graduated from University with a BSc in Psychology and have decided to stay in Leeds as I love it so much.

I feel that my degree really helps me to understand patient’s dental anxieties and phobias, allowing me to work through patients’ fears to eliminate them.I look forward to coming to work everyday to speak to patients and enjoy following their journeys the most! I am the first point of contact for new patients and to be able to be there every step of the way is so rewarding. I love to see our pain free dentistry converting extremely anxious patients into patients who no longer fear the dentist. When I’m not at work I love to visit new places. I learnt to surf whilst at University so I often book surf weekends away at different places. I also love meeting new people so I go out most weekends with friends to socialise. Anything that involves socialising really and I’m there!
